      "Some" Founding Fathers (none / 0) (#4)
by BillMilligan on Thu Jul 21, 2011 at 07:54:54 PM EST
"Some" Founding Fathers feared a rule of the majority, if you will. Hamilton actually wanted a British Monarchy. Adam's proposed that the president be called "his majesty." You get the idea. Some were more open to majority rule (Jefferson for one, who was so smitten with the concept of peasant revolution that he couldn't ever bring himself to say one bad thing about what happened in France in the 1790s).

Some Founding Fathers believed in Jesus. Some did not. Some believed...

      You get the idea.

It's a pet peeve of mine when any person of any political persuasion makes a blanket statement to the tune of "THE Founding Fathers thought______."
