Bottom line.  It's the gottdamn Moderate/Centrist wing of the GOPDNC (Yes, they are undeniably a Wing) that sells itself as being "mainstream" and those on the Right and the Left as being extreme.

The herd of sheeple buy into that insanity every election then p!ss-n-moan that their career seeking "mainstream" wing expands gummint taxation, regulation and spending.

I wish I was as optimistic as you about the DRIC/NITC, but as much as the "mainstream" Nerd flits back and forth to hang with the Marxist half-Kenyan in DC, the bridge deal is far from being over.  It is a concerted Corporatist GOPDNC effort.  The governed will be busy getting their kiddies settled in the new school year.  Expect the DRIC/NITC push then.
