      Amendments. It seems to me that they are often attempts to force others to comply when most people wouldn't agree if they debate the issues. I think this is often the case, even when I agree with the issue.

      Is there a tendency for this to be true? I thought I saw some of this during the Huckabee debate. I am very wary of this. If "we" can do it, how can we ever argue that "they" shouldn't?
