      Personally, I'd love to see a politician's past sexual activities kept out of a campaign, but... you brought it up.  I mean, personally, would rather debate issues.

      I heard those same words ("I believe him") from a friend of mine who was involved in the Gary Hart campaign back in the day.  

      I heard it from the true believers from other politicians who were accused of wild wiener syndrome as well over the past 35 years, up to and including the Mary Jo / Buick incident.

      Honestly, I am trying to recall any politician with so many accusations of extramarital sexual activity who later turned out to be totally innocent.
