    1. The University of Michigan has not ignored the law with regard to Prop 2. They changed their admissions procedures to comply with the law. They weren't happy with it and challenged it in court. If they were ignoring the law, they would simply continue with affirmative action programs in defiance of the law. Mind you, they'll do that now until the 6th circuit decision is overturned, but that's because the Prop 2 currently doesn't have the force of law.

    2. Your insinuation that the University of Michigan is actively attempting to help China have equal military technology to the United States is completely baseless. Your only justification is that there is a leftist mentality at the university and a link to some unsubstantiated claims from a disgruntled former employee.

    3. Noam Chomsky is utterly irrelevant to this issue. Incidentally, the reason Chomsky's made a ton of money from the Pentagon is that the Pentagon was responsible for funding a lot of research at MIT, where Chomsky worked as a researcher in the fields of linguistics and analytic philosophy (his work was funded by the Pentagon because the fields produced theories that have applications to fields that the Pentagon was interested in at the time, particularly computer science). It's not like he was responsible for anything sensitive and it's certainly not like the Pentagon approved of his politics in any way.

Thus far, the case presented against the University of Michigan consists of a series of tangentially related facts and opinions that do not link together well and do not hold up to even minimal scrutiny. It literally took me 2 minutes to find the information I did regarding the links presented and none of them are credible unless you define credible as being something that suggests that a liberal institution is working to destroy America. There are reasonable questions to raise as to how the University of Michigan should interact with Chinese and other foreign universities, but they are grounded in the complex realities surrounding economic globalization and the globalization of the defense industry. Unless anyone is willing to make such an argument, then I will cease replying to this thread.
