Incumbent protection devices, Pete?

I kicked the idea around with some family and friends yesterday with mixed results. I'll be talking with some more in the coming days.

The "intimidation" part on office holders doesn't bother me. I've dealt with politicians before.

I may not use a lead-pipe argument when dealing with them, the other side does that well enough already, but when I have dealt with local politicians, I've read up enough on an issue beforehand to give them maalox moments.

One final item that I'll add is something that was asked of me (and ironically reinforced by Herman Cain on C-Span yesterday at the Value Voters Summit), the problem with campaigning is that you're essentially unemployed while campaigning.

I won't lie to anyone, that factor will most definitely weight in any decision.

If I do decide to make a go at it, it won't be some peace-meal shoe-string campaign to make a statement about her voting record.

It'll be a full-throttle, all-out effort to crush her in the August election.
