In my neck of the woods, I have heard some calls to drive up there and do phone banking, etc. Personally, I'm not inclined to care what happens to Mr. Scott, based on the morality he's demonstrated since getting elected. However, I wonder what the effect on the rest of the legislature will be if the Democrats succeed in taking him out. The much told story of the successful 1980s recalls are legendary in claiming a discouraging effect on the tax-and-spend party, and their willingness to press their agenda. Is there some reason the same thing wouldn't happen to the Republicans?
