    caved into the unions - they are as much at fault for their woes.  They should have broke the unions years ago when they were making sh!tty cars.

    Ford fared better because they saw it coming and adjusted and BARELY snuck by what happened at GM and Chrysler.  Ford took a $5.9 billion dollar loan from the US govt. so they were not completely out the loop for getting help.

    I never said in my post that they were not paying the money back that was loaned to them.  However, there were a lot people hurt by the bankruptcy and see JGillman's post about how many public employee pension plans took a hit when this back handed bankruptcy took place.
