Omitting the selective word here and there is calculated by design.   He is testing water temps.  The opposition to his not wearing a flag on his lapel (pre election) was not virilant enough to warrant a "change of trajectory", nor was the episode of his lack of decorum during the recitation of our pledge of allegiance- testing the water.   Now we see a far more agregious "omission".    

Will there be a reaction? If so, how deleterious?  Will damage control be necessary or do we ratchet up the agenda?

 So far there has only been much a do about nothing.  Lots of hand wringing and hurumphs.    Has there been any genuine "feet to the fire" outrage or action?   None.   The water temp is less than luke warm from his perspective.
