    I made a similar suggestion months ago and received the following responses:

    • Elected official went pale as a ghost.

    • Elected official rolling eyes to back of head.

    • Elected official derisively mocking suggestion as "unrealistic" (My personal fav).

    I cited three cases above which demonstrated that it is possible to win. What I lacked at that time were elected officials who weren't so beholden to the local political party, over the people they were purportedly elected to represent (a fact not made aware to me until after I made my suggestion).

    I wonder if that will hold true after whomever the next governor is, appoints an emergency financial manager to clean things up when they finally go into receivership sometime around next July?
