      Cox assumed anyone voting for Snyder wouldn't be voting for either Cox or Hoekstra.  Hoekstra was the only real enemy.

      That was a mistake.  I think a big mistake, because it caused some people to look at Snyder.  As a political judgment it was a gamble that, when lost, does not speak well of the bettor.

      Now it isn't Cox vs Hoekstra, which I could have lived with either way, it's "STOP Snyder." I think the Cox campaign contributed to that more than somewhat.  It doesn't deserve a reward unless Cox is 5 points or more ahead of the man he attacked most often - and often trivially - and 10 points ahead of the RINO.
