      was shilling this thing on the Frank Beckman radio program on or about June 3. Everytime he tried to pin her down she took off on her prepared talking points. Sure sounded like she was filabustering so he couldn't ask her very many hard questions. She really didn't want to answer his question about how MDOT will be given the authority to dictate not only how DRIC will be constructed, managed, and paid for, but the overall expanded scope of MDOT. The legislature will have no ability to budget or exercise much oversite over MDOT any longer. Visualize in the minds eye, thousands of union workers line up leaning on shovels with the cracks in their butts aimed at you as you drive by in one laneat 45 MPH of course. Not a beautiful thing.
