That said - we do need lots of fresh faces to lead our state back to prosperity.  It starts with permanent cuts to our government.  Every department and every budget - top to bottom.  Even though it means adding to the unemployment rolls - we cannot sustain the number of employees in state government.  Just cutting wages and benefits doesn't solve the problem.  Those concessions can be given back.  We need to downsize drastically and quickly to make up for the population/income loss this state has seen the last 5 years.  

We also need to prepare for the complete collapse of the auto industry.  I do believe the Big 3 are going to go under.  They have their noses right up the arse of Washington DC and are dancing to their tune.  It is not going to work.  No one is going to buy what they are trying to sell in the venue of a green environment, green jobs, electric buggies and such.  Our economy will never be able to operate on what they are proposing for transportation.  What GM and Chrysler are doing right now is building their own nails for their own coffins.
