      Well said Marlink. Kuipers may have wooden shoes on display at his desk in Lansing, but that doesn't mean he represents what the people of Holland truly care about: lower taxes.

      His defense has always been a little something like this. "There was no other choice but to vote for a tax increase. The state government was in trouble...." blah, blah, blah, followed by more excuses.

      Send Jay Riemersma to Congress instead. He'll simply ignore all that pressure from fellow legislators and make his own decision, lower taxes, one that will leave many West Michigan residents in the mood for Klompen dancing.
