      Insightful and thought provoking post.  The problem is that those to whom it would benefit most are not reading it.  Still, great stuff.

      Tesla Motors received $493MM in June.   Fiskar Motors just got the "okeedoke"  from the DOE on $567MM today.   Both private ventures in a highly speculative industry.  Additionally they are building hybrid / electric vehicles that command prices north of $50 to $150K.  I certainly hope the technology that is brought forth from these flights of fancy is worth the BILLION spent on them.  

      Neat cars though,  makes me wish I could afford one...(where is my AMEX?)
