      Dishonorable Pete (none / 0) (#5)

Hoekstra ran for Congress making a big stink about Guy Vander Jagt having served too long. Hoekstra pledged to only serve 12 years. But when it was time for Hoekstra to step aside, he decided that he didn't have to honor his own pledge. Pete decided that he was too important and irreplaceable in Washington. Hoekstra also broke his pledge to not take PAC money. These were the core issues that Hoekstra ran on in 1992. His willingness to break his own pledges on the key issues that helped get him elected in the first place show how corrupted he has been by his time in Washington.

Failing to honor term limit pledges is a common practice among Washington DC Republicans.
