This year may just be different.  There is no choice but to right-size government.  

Check out Jack McHugh's blog in Thursday in the Sphere, today.  There are billions in potential savings out there.  They are achievable.  They will hurt.  They are necessary.

As far as the Office of the First Gentleman goes... CUT IT!  Take away that talking point.  The fact that such an easy cut still hasn't been made indicates how seriously Lansing Democrats take their self-appointed roles as protectors of the bureaucracy.

And re: GF / GP, that entire discussion is nonsensical.  That money is being taken from Michigan taxpayers and spent by the government according to laws approved by lawmakers.

Lawmakers can CHANGE those laws to free up that cash.

And on the occassions that cash is tied up alongside federal spending requirements then it's time for the Congressional delegation to earn their paychecks and do something about that in DC.
