First he has ties to Granholm - a virtual "failure" sign chained around his neck.  Then his rather odd campaign slogan, "A whole lot of people supporting John Cherry for Governor", which seems somewhat ironic at this point, considering recent poll results.  Well, I guess a "whole lot of people" is relative, but I digress.  And now he's skipping a public forum which includes every other serious candidate, and an oddball or two.  This while he seems to be battling a lack of name-recognition.
