      JGill, just to be clear, I think this is a very important issue (wouldn't have spent the time on it otherwise) and I think that big things start with little things and big reforms ideas start with little stories and changes.

      I don't think this law could be used the way you think or just suggested, but it could be used nefariously, no doubt. I proposed a few.

      But I don't think the voters care about this if their jobs or livelihoods remain in jeopardy. It's not an issue to base the base of the party around, and it is a complex issue with competing values so I think it unfair to suggest ulterior motivation or "defection".
