You certainly are entitled to believe the 12 made a "serious mistake" - I even arrive at the same conclusion as you, but I acknowledge this is a very deep and non-partisan issue (though the Dems have been crassly using it that way for sometime) and I merely believe that the 12 made a "honest and tough judgment call" and its not "serious" because the consequences aren't nearly as hyperbolic as either you (fraud destroys Republican Party) or Brady (Republican disunity = GOP out of business soon) suggest.  It is just not that important, either way - one fact I agree with Rep. Amash on (though I think he factually misunderstands computer forensics, and the forensics is irrelevant to the mass-production issue).
