    Disabling is easy. (none / 0) (#8)

I'm sure in my case, a 55-ton injection-molding press would be up to the task.

It's the legal and practical consequences of disabling it that would concern me.  I can see individuals without an RFID being harassed or inconvenienced in one way or another.

What if police cruisers are outfitted with a scanner, and any car that passes without a RFID is instantly suspected of being operated without a license, and pulled over?  That would get old.

What if licenses are just scanned for voter id purposes at polling locations, and not considered valid unless the RFID is working?  Also bad.

Not that any of that is planned, but you know the government is fairly good at "discouraging" non-compliance, one way or another.
