It might be a good deal, but it might not, read this.

There is more than one way to skin a cat, most folks will not agree with me on this, but, I think there is a much easier way to help keep the U.S automakers afloat. I think the best thing to help the auto industry would be import tariffs, on foreign cars. George Bush allowed tariffs on imported steel and ethanol, to help American producers. Tariffs seem to work good for Japan, Korea, and many other countries that want to protect their markets.

I think the number of estimated new cars that will be bought this year is 9 million, it dropped from 11 million a few months ago. Tariffs might be a better choice, and less expensive than bail-outs from tax payers money.

Should the roadwork programs not offset the new rounds of Big 3 lay-offs and plant closings and unemployment continues to grow. People may look back and say. "Why did'nt we try a little harder to protect our markets?" Look at this clip, you can see there is hard times across the globe, The U.S can't fix the whole worlds problems, and allowing American companies to fail, giving away market share and sending thousands to unemployment lines, so countries that, do put tariffs on U.S products, can import their products here duty free? Does it really make sense?
