      Agree Robert Bobb is doing a stellar job but I don't think there is a chance in hell that he can ever turn around this system.  I think the ONLY way to do that is to close every public school in Detroit and fire every teacher and administrator and start over with charter schools.  Pick up what few good teachers there are in DPS and bring in non-union personnel and start with basic reading, writing and arithmitic for all students.  Start them in the grade they are testing in.  If a 10 yr old needs to start over in kindergarden then so be it. Students and parents will need to adhere to a STRICT discipline system, dress code/uniforms, English only.  Use a three strikes and your out system for children, parents and personnel.  No more fooling around.  Either parents get it or they don't.  Their kids future depends on it.  Hire a couple Robert Bobb twins to oversee ALL financial aspects.  After a couple years Detroit could be the shining light.
