      Mike Cox can and should do everything he can to stop this illegal pork project because it is a violation of our Michigan Constitution, the one he swore to uphold and protect (see The Headlee Amendment: http://www.mackinac.org/5574). The entire deal is corrupt and unethical, it wastes taxpayer money and puts our State troopers in an inadequate and unsafe facility on a floodplane. The site violates FEMA regulations and is prohibited by Executive Orders from several previous Michigan Governors. The State is under no contractual obligation to occupy the Ferguson-Granger Building after paying the first months rent. The project limits the States bond issue cap which could be used for deserving college students.
