    Ban all art funding.  Some of the crap they call art is disgusting.  If you are an artist and you create something people want they will buy it - ah it's called free market.  If you make something that is awful, dreary and/or disgusting and no one buys it - why should I have to subsidize your lousy work? Go get a real job and try to sell your crappy stuff on the side for extra money. Welfare is welfare no matter how you look at it.
