    I'm not much into real estate investing so I have no idea what the long term (very, very, very long term) investment prognosis in Detroit is, but I have to believe that these out of state investors who bid on properties are overestimating Detroit's ability to rebound in any timely manner.  

    We'll have to wait and see if any of these newly auctioned properties end up back on the auction block in the next few years.

    I hope Detroit makes a comeback, even if it does so in spite of itself.
