    where my elected representatives truly stand, not just where they position themselves after the dust settles.

    of race is, ultimately, a secondary issue compared to the fact that Burris was legally appointed by a sitting Governor and meets all of the legal requirements to take the seat.  

    Reid and Stabenow and Levin are playing politics.

    Now, it doesn't help Reid's argument that this ISN'T about race when you hold it up against his calls to Blago demanding specifically that he not appoint any of the three African-American Congressmen from Illinois... I mean, if he was a GOPer the NAACP would have already demanded his resignation.
