City Pulse was "tipped off" to the story - as you say, they are a "Metro Times" style magazine for Lansing. Definitely to the left. MSM only under the widest definition of being print media - nothing wrong with that, but they are what they are.

I doubt that the "MSM" - Lansing St. Journal or TV want to report this, for a few reasons, although local Lansing-ites should write letters to them questioning why they aren't covering it (that's an underused strategy on our side - ask editors why things aren't covered).

Pulling the fire alarms make this action clearly and blatantly illegal - crossing the First Amendment line (as if the protest on private property didn't). Arrests should have been made - or at least trespass warnings issued to everyone, with names taken. The police seem to have taken this as innocuous, but the fire alarm thing is classic "fire in a crowded theatre" dangerous.
