Parents, regardless of type/location of formal education for children, must be more involved/confident in the teaching of their children because the most important education is all basic. It doesn't matter what area (social, athletic, arts, religion, science, math, reading...), learning the truth of complicated things fails in the absence of the basics.

We sleep through small changes and then want immediate fixes: stop lying, cheating, murdering, stealing NOW! Turning the wheel of a ship and enduring its correction is a process. Correction always takes patience, otherwise we have more laws that most will be fond of breaking or can find a work around.
