Governor Rick Snyder Flips Position Agrees with Clinton to “Force Internet Sales Tax”

Snyder “Favors” State Action on “Internet Taxes!” Governor Rick Snyder said Wednesday the Legislature should tackle the problem of collecting sales tax on Internet purchases instead of waiting for action by Congress as he’s previously advocated.Clinton & Gov. Snyder

Snyder’s shifting view on the issue came one day after The Detroit News first reported his newly appointed state treasurer, Kevin Clinton, came out in favor of the so-called “Main Street Fairness Act” legislation aimed at forcing all Internet retailers to collect the sales tax.

This is really no shock, I'm surprised he's taken so long. He seems to have a lot of momentum to reelection with all of the media support he is getting. Why wouldn't the arrogant little man feel more comfortable economically processing the taxpayers?

Yesterday or the day before it was revealed that Maobama funding for his bridge was not forthcoming as per his agreement with the Canadians. I look to him to come up with some type of fee or tax on Michigan serfs to pay for his bridge at some point.

Michigan taxpayer money to bail out Detroit, more taxes/fees to fix roads, $25 million for his movie industry, taxes on some pensions......the list goes on and on.

You may want to reconsider that statement about cost regarding Canada's bridge, which is actually a smokescreen for the rail car tunnels.

I'd really love to know how to do searches on the old site.

There is a great video clip which I can't find at the moment that illustrates Snyder's utter contempt for taxpayers keeping their own money.

All done while explaining with his trademark happy grin, of course.

Go there, then on the top right under Navigation, click on Tags. It ain't perfect by any means, however, it is workable.

WTF!?!? Works here just fine (admittedly somewhat of a pain-in-the-ass sifting through results). As a test, see if you get the same results on links below.

It's the tags with a large number of matches that is throwing things off.

If it is a tag with a few pages, everything is okay.

If it's a tag with a large number of matches, the first few pages come through, after that 404.

              🙁

            The search functionality isn't.

When I backed up the site, it was more like taking a picture, but not with all the indexing. So for example, when you go go the TAGS, all of those are indexed and saved as HTML pages already.

the site is static, and a ghost of what it was, if that makes any sense.

I'm trying to think of a Harold Ramis joke to put in here, but I'm not having much luck.

If it is something that I have more time to look for, I'll use the tag trick.

              It's a good start.

              🙂
