Welcome To The Third World.

bananas-504478_1920I have been amused in the past when liberal Democrat demonstrations spark a chant of “This is what Democracy looks like..

No.  its not.

They have achieved the goals of their epic struggle against tradition, rule of law, and flat out decency and morals. It is NOT what a Democracy looks like.   This is what a Banana Republic looks like:

FBI Director James Comey has announced that Hillary Clinton acted ‘carelessly’ but committed no crimes with regards to her private e-mail server through which she conducted official government business.  Further, he announced there would be no charges filed whatsoever.  This is despite numerous criminal offenses being already known by the general public through a plethora of FOIA.  Officially, there is no longer any rule of law in this country.

It has been so disheartening to lose faith in one institution after another these past 8 years. It is worse when the people I held in high regard also disappoint. Now I have lost faith in the legal system. I had heard Director Comey was a man of integrity, sadly they got to him as well.

Agreed. This administration has destroyed the integrity of the entire government. No one can be trusted any longer. We are a land of malfeasance and graft.

Pres. B.O., Hillary & the merry bunch from Team "d" may be mutually patting themselves on their backs for the fast one they thought they just got away with yesterday.

As far as I'm concerned...they just handed Donald Trump the Presidency.

Most people have forgotten that Team "r" tried a similar stunt about 40 years ago when that imbecile Jerry Ford literally gave a "Get-Out-of-Jail-Free" card to one Tricky Dick Nixon.

Things didn't fare too well for Team "r" in the following election.

Any celebration on their part this week is just a tad premature...

"..they just handed Donald Trump the Presidency.."

I don't believe (anymore) in the lesser of two evils theory.

Many baby boomers will vote (or simply not) for whoever gets them on to a beach, in diapers and/or underground with the least skin off their noses as possible..DAMN everybody else (including their grandchildren).

Even the slightest possibility of Trump doing anything remotely resembling what is needed in the conservative vein (ie. a nation forced in to even 'token' shared self sacrifice) disqualifies him outright with this bunch, regardless of who they lie about voting for afterwards (Obama proved this twice).

One has to remember that those tipping this election either way (save the illegal votes which Republicans have never been serious about ending) have become LESS outraged, not more, as one inconceivable evil after another has unfolded during the last two cycles.

These swing voters are more than old enough to know what treason is or to weigh the unthinkable consequences of leaving men on a battlefield. Keeping life exactly like it is or even a slightly 'reduced' version chugging along for just as long as possible will be MUCH more important..again.

Pure greed has no party, identity or affiliation and certainly no sense of country or honor.

I'm basing my comments on what I'm hearing not only inside of Michigan, but outside as well (I travel a lot).

Are there (essentially) parasitic leeches who fit the description you just gave above?

        Absolutely.

And no, those examples aren't limited to only Detroit.

The siren song of the "new deal/great society"-pablum along with what passes for a public education has done its job of making going through life with your hand outstretched to the nearest government bureaucrat to survive day-to-day socially acceptable, instead of something to be shunned by society at-large.

If I had to ballpark it, I'd say that we're very close to the tipping point where the system can no longer sustain itself because of more people riding in the wagon instead of pulling it. We're not over it yet, so things are salvageable.

Besides, those examples you've mentioned above need to get off of their dead you-know-what and actually show up at the polls to make any kind of difference here.

When you're fat, happy and lazy, I just don't see that happening.

As for Trump...I've already admitted that he was among the few that I was considering, but he also wasn't my first choice.

I'll admit that I have some reservations with him because of his past.

Sitting down for a while and listening to some of his speeches in full along with the interviews he has done (on anything BUT Fox), has changed that opinion from wary to cautiously optimistic. There is a lot more to him than those than the 10-second sound bites the MSM likes to spoon feed everyone.

I was never for a second of the opinion that he'll be able to do everything that he sets out to do, but he'll at least make a go at it and mark off as much as he can off of that list..

And if he can put the fear of God into the republican and democratic kakistocracies hell-bent on destroying the republic...so much the better!

The best part I heard Comey say was no prosecutor would take the case. I want names! His chat before congress was even more entertaining today--yes, I was forced to listen to it--Evidently new subpoenas are being issued because Comey said "congress didn't send subpoena requests in that regard. And, the royal rumpus continues.

    Sue,

I quit listening (first question from Chavez) when Comey claimed that 'Congress' impeded the FBI's (nonexistent) investigation in to perjury as well. To say that either party to that short back and forth knew nothing of what the other claimed is laughable now at best. Great strategy on both sides to play dumb at that exact moment.

    KG,

I'm in the (math) camp claiming that absolutely nothing is salvageable without painful sacrifices along the order of what was experienced in WW2 or more likely worse in terms of comparative value.
