The One That Brought You

When you win, act like it.

We have all been surprised at times of the change in our elected class when they assume their elected office.

Our opportunity to witness wholesale change of position, opinion, or the art of ‘nuance’ is only eclipsed by the nagging reality that this has happened before.  Nearly every time we have voted perhaps?

Politicians generally promise much, but fail on delivery nearly as many times as those promises are made.  After an election, our ‘winners’ seem to seek out the losers in some misguided path of reconciliation.  Often whole demeanor changes occur, and the strong willed, conservative, charismatic leader we wanted, becomes a pewling little excuse maker who doesn’t want to be hated.

Screw that.

The left doesn’t care about how we feel about them.  The second hander who wants their government largess doesn’t give a rats ass about their tone, civility, or abusive language.

We have seen organized efforts to shut down debate, civil discourse, and open meetings in the past several months. Ask Jeff Sieting.  The guy can’t even hang a supportive sign of our president, without being called out as a racist, bigot, homophobe. It draws the left out, who then looks for the Achilles heel.  From the local fish wrap:

Micheal Henriet, of Kalkaska, argued with some of Sieting’s supporters and stressed his protesting dealt more with Sieting’s social media activity, than his support for Trump.

“It’s the super bigoted hate,” he said. “We didn’t realize what a bigot he was until when he was elected. That’s not us.”

Yeah, that’s what it is.  “Super bigoted” SMH

Trolling the personal facebook feed for anything that can be used to demonstrate “hate,” “bigotry,” or whatever other nose picking defect is available to shame a political opponent from power.  “That’s not us.” Henriet says.

Guess what?  It most certainly wasn’t Henriet who elected this mayor in Northern Michigan.  If anyone actually believes he voted for the winner of the seat of Kalkaska Village President, I have a suggestion for you; seek professional help.

Jeff Sieting, the winner of the last election for the office he holds, declined to change who he was.  He proudly supports the president he voted for, and apparently has not caved to the demands of those who lost, want to keep losing, and live in a fantasy land.

“I owe nobody an apology for exercising my First Amendment rights,” he said.

Sieting’s refusal to apologize will prompt a meeting of local residents and others who help comprise the Facebook group “Kalkaska Residents for Peace” to determine how to move forward. The group of about 154 people will look at different options, including a potential recall and finding someone to run against Sieting in 2018, Anderson said.

Anderson questioned how Sieting can continue to lead the village after discovering the posts she said “support racism and bigotry.”

“You ran for office to represent all the people of this community, not just the white, non-Muslim ones,” she said. “You were supposed to represent all of your constituents.”

Sieting defended his Facebook posts, including the post he appears to have copied that calls for the killing of “every last Muslim”.

Sieting argued America has been fighting Islam for hundreds of years and contends all Muslims are evil, either by their actions or their lack of action to prevent violence by Islamic extremists.

The emboldened part is critical to note here.

Actually, he ran (as many pretend they do) for office as who he is.  His neighbors know him. His friends support him.  As seen by the supportive efforts of many to counter the leftist (losers) protests, he has not been abandoned.  And he has not given up who he is.

Never mind the calls of racism, bigotry, etc.  The progressive loser left has cheapened the meaning by calling every single conservative or traditional politico the same at some point or another.  That type of rhetoric is all they have, completely lacking any substantive and desired winning traits.

And Sieting for his part, apparently doesn’t care what the other side thinks.

Good for him.  He must know that another election is another dance.  Another dance can certainly bring new faces. New faces brought by new aspirations or old flames.

But this time, he has his reality based responsibilities, and is having the time of his life.

As he should.

Interesting spin. Too bad it's not true. Happy to send you sietings comments about killing black people and thr horrific statements about Muslims referencing they have flesh eating diseases and he was directly quoted saying all Muslims are bad. I have loving family members that voted for trump. I did not know anything about the sign until another member of thr community at thr meeting spoke about it. The village minutes are online to see. You make info wars seem credible. Oh that's right. Mr Sieting thought that was real. Pizza gate was it ? Thrn saying thr children murdered at sandy hook was a hoax. How nice for the grieving families to have their fellow Americans turn on them Until we stop this kind of bologna we will remain a country divided. This is campflodged racism.and hate. Nothing more nothing less. Fear. Anger. Frustrations cast onto a religious groups. Mr Sieting called for the killing of all Muslims. This is not about trump. This is about hate. He is being given a message "hate has no business in Kalkaska mi. I wish you all would stop hating and start working together on making poverty stricken communities like Kalkaska thrive again. Sure not going to happen under a hate flag. Come to this wonderful community. Let's talk face to face. Lets have coffee. Let's see what we agree on and how we can help this community turn around for the better for all their citizens.

Let me guess .. you never thought Hillary did anything wrong re: Benghazi, her foundation, or covering up her Husband's dalliances?

I would say you prefer not to believe anything that contradicts your narrow worldview, and if anyone disagrees with you, its "hate." Lefties have no other arguments than calling their opponents haters and bigots. It would be laughable if not so sad.

Conspiracies are both true and not true. Some are more far fetched than others, but some are clearly plausible and at the very least demand a little more attention. Are you aware of the Islamic 'conspiracy' of Jihad? It is very real. And if you think it is a minor concern being practiced by extremists, then consider that it was PEW who discovered that 7% of muslims consider suicide actions a reasonable choice in that effort.

I am personally not sure of how we deal with such a threat, but hiding my head in the sand is not an option. I suspect Mr Sieting thinks so as well. You are lucky that he cares enough about Kalkaska to take on its political BS and actually be a leader.

Her world view is, "Make trout not hate."

Noticed a wedding ring on her corpulent finger. Some thirsty beta stuck its dick in crazy. Sad!

Ms. Anderson, you may find it wise to familiarize yourself with the concept of "hijra." Hijra involves islamic conquest through migration, and is the "peaceful" counterpart to the "jihad" (conquest through struggle) that we're more familiar with. Both are core to the theocratic philosophy, going back to the Prophet Muhammad.

Acknowledging the truth of this isn't hate, it's pragmatic awareness of a credible threat to our national existence.

Mr. Henriey really should stop acting like a dullard and start brushing up on some American History.

BTW, that link barely glosses over what is contained within the book.

If he really wants to effect change, then Mr. Henriey should be demanding that Muslims quit sitting on their backsides and start addressing the civil war within their own religion.

The rest of America is begin to take notice of the growing number of Muslims "unwillingness" to act or even speak out when one of their number plunges a knife into the throat of an airport security guard in Flint, heartlessly shoots up rooms full of people in Orlando & San Bernadino or barbarically stages an assault on a Naval Reserve Center in Chattanooga...all while screaming "Allahu Akbar".

Better yet, perhaps Ms. Anderson can explain this to everyone.

The upside of a "No regrets, no apologies" approach is that it works. The downside comes when you may have did or said something you should regret or apologize for.

Calling for the death of people is a crime and isn't protected speech. Racist jokes are protected speech, sexist jokes are protected speech, calling blacks "niggers," and Mexicans "wetbacks" is protected speech, but endorsing and promoting violence isn't. Sorry. So this conservative asshole went over the line, and if you had a shred of integrity, you'd admit that. But you don't, so you won't. It's examples like these that blemish legitimate conservative philosophy and gives ammo to the left. Reasonable people don't take kindly to extremist bullshit of any side.

A specific and credible death threat might be a crime. Beyond that I challenge you to find a statute that would make whatever it was that Sieting said a defacto crime.

And don't give me that crap about blemishing " legitimate conservative philosophy and gives ammo to the left" either.

Let me guess... Voted for Milliken?
