What's got me even more curious... (none / 0) (#1)

...is where was AG Schuette during the first go-round of this argument?

Even though I firmly believe in the notion that "Stupidity should be painful" (especially with the political "leadership" in the city and the union leadership who thought they could get away with this chicanery forever), bottom line; we're still dealing with a legal contract here, and it should be upheld as best as possible.

Does that mean hanging a "For Sale" sign on the Rodin that got tagged infront of the DIA?

    Absolutely!

Selling off DDOT to the highest bidder?

Most of their fleet is scrap anyway, but a buck is a buck.

    Detroit Water?

    Name your price.

And if the sale of those city assets doesn't cover the tab of the creditors and pensioners, here's where I differ with Mr. Orr: I have no problem going after the rest of the usual suspects here to pay the bill.

Let's start with any Elected Detroit Officials who supported these unsustainable contracts (i.e. Kilpatrick, Conyers, Kenyatta, etc.)?

If the sale of every possible city asset does not cover the total cost owed: Guess what, all of their assets are being seized.

Homes, pensions, bank accounts, vehicles. Any fungible asset(s) will be collected and sold to pay for their gross ineptitude.

Make those who made the mess, pay for the mess and make sure that the pensioners contracts are taken care of as best as possible.

    Stupidity should be painful.

Time to put that lesson to work where it will do the most good.
