Will common sense ever return to our state?

I believe the power of stupid people in large numbers is reaching a climax.

Michigan has its share of both (people and numbers) in all corners of the state.  In Traverse City, it might be the new cause-du-jour ‘sanctuary city’ effort, gender fluid/creative/neutral bathrooms‘ or our political class simply not seeing the forest for the trees.

Funny thing about that last.  One of the commissioners cannot accept a sale of county property for an amount less than it is worth. But as things always seem to bear out, political classic and commissioner Cheryl Gore Follette was for itbefore she was against it.

“There is frustration, but as I’m learning, it’s government,” says Clous. “Government can’t make a decision and stay with a decision and live with it.” He says he’s at “a loss for words” over Gore Follette’s “making an issue out of selling property for less than market value, or making the assumption that we are” after the board accepted a below-market bid for 160 acres of Whitewater Township property last week.

Yes, ‘cognitive dissonance’ is a real thing.

But the hinterlands is not alone in such net-less mental acrobatics. On the opposite corner of the mitten, we have even more willful ignorance.  MI Dems were introducing bills to make the world safe for ISIS terrorists last week, the feds arrested a naturalized resident of Dearbornistan for:

’…providing material support… and helping the terror group prepare potential attacks in America and Panama… Prosecutors say Hezbollah recruited the men as “operatives,” provided them with “military-style training,” then gave them a variety of ominous tasks.’

So what will these Dem jokers say when a Syrian immigrant ISIS mole blows up a school here?

The Democrat/progressive/left has completely shot off the rocket rails, yes?

And let us for a moment stop and say a prayer for our brothers who are facing the ginned up froth (and apparently real bullets) of the left this morning.

Is this the face of our ‘civil war?’

No, Jason. THIS is the face of our next civil war.

Everything else you've cited above are merely the various fronts in which we'll be fighting in one form or another soon enough.

Oh, and in case anyone is interested, the shooter was P.O.'d the democratic party was getting "too conservative" for his tastes.

Strange, given the London terrorists attacks in which we knew it was muslim terrorists almost right away, it took this long for just the basic information on the shooter to get released.

If that doesn't give you reason to doubt just whose side the media is on here in America...

Hogwash. The Progressive's agenda have not and will not change since it was revealed in Podesta's emails in 2008.

HB-4731--Really??? 100% of state contracts already go to immigrants--aren't we all immigrants from one place or another?
HB-4723--My recent experiences at U of M, pretty much this bill will bankrupt U of M. The rule of these type bills should be: how does the one who pays benefit more than the one who receives. Maybe we should just ban all colleges and universities--as if you haven't learned a trade by 12th grade, you're SOL. We'd save on riot police on college campuses; we'd save our children going into debt; we'd stop the cause of arming the minds of those who wish to harm us; and we could take the Billion$$ from those quietly amassed scholarship funds and pay the unemployment for those professors teaching stupidity. (My dad wouldn't hire college grads as: "you can't teach them anything". Maybe he was on to something.)
HB-4727,4720,4725, and 4833--These bills violate the US Constitution and those idiots that introduced them should be removed for violating their oaths of office.

Of course this is and, has been the indoctrinated goal since Hart-Celler Act 1965. All the SJW on the Left are a given, what is the biggest problem is all the anti-white whites on the Cuckservative Right such as the Snyder/Calley administration, which virtue signals importing Third-world detritus for alleged workforce instead of procreating their own.

    Despicable.

Talk about being dumber than a bag of rocks. They move here because they have no intention of assimilating into American Culture.

A quick drive through places like N.W. Sterling Heights, Hamtramck and Dearborn will easily dispel that notion.

When someone is passing through those communities and needs a translator due to the fact they cannot read what the sign on a particular business says...you have a problem.

I remember a story from Sterling Heights not too long ago when they wanted these business to at least have some of the information written in English.

People were bellyaching about this citing 1A issues.

Well, that's all well and good and all, but when you need the fire department, ambulance or police, and they drive past your place of business multiple times because they can only read signs printed in English, you're going to have a problem.

      2018 cannot come soon enough.
