Getting The Message Out

RightMI.Com readership can make a difference in the effort to defeat the $2 Billion Dollar tax increase.

STOP-167Scales reminds us yesterday that all it takes is 50% +1 to “entrench this mess into our constitution.”

Even the polling a month out that shows the crushing defeat of this boondoggle, but we need to be aware that it probably ought not be trusted.  People are fickle, and the herds of Michigan voters are carefully being prodded along using every tool in the toolbox.

On this site there are no fewer than 70 articles directly or otherwise related to proposal 15-1.  Each of them highlighting a failure of leadership, misuse,  or misrepresentation of resources and fact with regard to the stewardship of our transportation dollars.  We are doing our part to make folks aware that all-is-not-as-it-seems in our state capitol.

But our readership is not the entire population of the state.  (even though it should be)

Conventional wisdom says: “The more complicated the proposal, the more likely the no votes.”  People generally do not vote yes when they don’t ‘get it.’  However, do not assume for a moment that a low information voter will automatically vote no because they don’t understand this particular issue fully.  Due to the scare tactics, misrepresentation of alternatives and planned dereliction of the MDoT, many of the uninformed see no alternatives.

Its up to RightMi.com readership to get the information out there.

Share the articles you find informative or especially compelling on Twitter, Facebook, Google, etc.  TALK to your friends, family, neighbors.  Write letters to the editor, (in the next two weeks particularly) submit news tips to reporters, or get on or call into your local radio station and make noise!

WTCMIn fact I did a WTCM radio interview couple of days ago you can listen to for some talking points. (Click on image or this to listen)

We will continue to highlight the lies being passed on in support of the largest long-term regressive tax increase Michiganians have ever been asked to impose on themselves.  We will continue to analyze the 46,000 words that have been condensed into the 100 word proposal that is presented for approval on May 5.

If Michigan voters were aware of even HALF of what RightMi.com readers know, there is no way that proposal 15-1 could get a yes vote next month.

Rick Snyder’s ‘vote yes’ team has been, and will continue to lie, cheat, extort, intimidate, pander, and scare voters to drive a ‘yes’ result on this vote.

Help us get the word out and defeat this.

It is very likely that this proposal will fail on 5/5. It's very hard to pass proposals.... especially ones as convoluted and corrupt as this one! Look no further than 2012 where all the proposals failed. By a lot! That said... it IS important to speak to family, friends, neighbors and associates about the proposal. I do not recommend the financial support any of the groups organized to fight the proposal. It's money wasted. Especially Paul Mitchell's group. He is no conservative, as he evilly jumped on the bash Agema bandwagon with his stupid editorial in the Detroit News earlier this year. Horrible. Don't fall for his antics. Mitchell is just positioning himself and portraying himself as a conservative for a future run for Congress in the 1st District. He wants to primary challenge Benishek. RINO v RINO. Big whoop.

Ah, 2012. Yep. I remember October, very well...

How's that vote working out fer y'all?

Ps. they all bash Dave Agema, so what else is new? No, that is not in defense of Mitchell, and f*** Benishek! I'll vote for anyone to ousts his Progressive Country Club lying nasty ass.

Unless we can get (and support) Kerry B to run against Dr Dan...I would help support a Dem against Benishek next cycle...after all, what's the difference???...

Tom, I sent you an email.

Also, here's Rep. Lee Chatfield (remarks start at 0:54 mark) talking about Prop 1 in Emmet County. Very engaged audience.
