And THIS is what we get when the republican party controls the House, Senate & White House???

If Pres. Trump fails to veto this, I easily see him a being a one and done president.

Perhaps yesterday’s coverage of the May Day “celebrations” touched something inside of Congressional republicans?

Perhaps the were “channeling their inner Obama™”?

Whatever the reason, sometime over the past few days, Congressional republicans clearly demonstrated some severe cognitive dissonance with the American Voter (to say nothing about the election results from last November).

Buried in the news cycles this week is the end result of recent negotiations between, well, I’m not exactly sure between whom, since the various sides are contradicting one another.

But several hours ago, a stop-gap spending resolution until around this September has been hashed out on Capitol Hill.

For those who haven’t had a chance yet, check it out. It’s a light read at only 1,665 pages.

So for those of you who are gluttons for punishment, did anyone find anything unusual about this appropriations bill?

If you’re scratching your head and asking yourself why funding for items like the EPA, Planed Parenthood, National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, and oh yeah…Obamacare contained within it, you’re not alone.

Don’t try looking for appropriations for the wall or defunding “sanctuary cities”, strangely they are not in there.

And did I mention that republicans control Congress and the White House?

Feel free to contact your elected officials if this concerns you, I’d advise against contacting either Sen. Stabenow or Sen. Peters since their caucus was last seen high-fiving one another at the fast one they just pulled on republican “leadership”..

But, if you want to contact your representative, either use the Capitol Switchboard number: (202) 225-3121 or use this link.

One last thing, did I mention that they want to vote on this by this weekend?

You Betcha! (9)Nuh Uh.(0)
